The Gârliște Gorges are certainly some of the wildest in Romania and least visited, not because of their lack of beauty, but because they are less known.
We start early in morning and drive to the village Gârliște where we park our car. After a short walk through the village and a visit to an old watermill, we begin our hike upstream the river. As we progress through the gorges, we get to admire the luxuriant vegetation and the rock formations. Our first stop is at the Cave with Water, where we take a short break to explore the cave. We continue our journey until we reach the water spring and the limestone cauldrons, where we stop for a lunch break. From here we make our way back through the same path and return to our cars.
At the end of the day we can stop for dinner and, if time allows, visit some other objectives on our way home.
