Destination: Beusnita - Nera Gorges National Park
The Nera Gorges are the longest gorges in Romania. The river Nera, streaming in the Semenic Mountains, dug a 22 kilometer gorges along the limestone rock of the Aninei Mountains. The gorges is part of the Nera Gorges – Beușnița National Park. The best way to visit the gorges is by foot, starting in the village Șopotu Nou and finishing in Sasca Montană with a detour to Ochiul Beiului Lake and Beușnița Waterfall; however the hike takes a full day and occasionally has some challenging passages.
